Why You Chose Us

Impact and Strategy

At RefugeeClaims.com, we are built around a single purpose: to provide continuous, reliable, and human rights–focused legal support to individuals navigating Canada’s refugee and immigration system. We recognize that many claimants face severe uncertainty after a refusal, often without access to proper legal guidance, stable housing, or protection from removal. Our work focuses on bridging this critical gap by offering sustained representation and structured legal pathways toward permanent residency and legal security in Canada.

Our Impact

Canada’s refugee system is complex, and many individuals fall through procedural gaps after an initial refusal. We specifically support those who are most vulnerable—people facing detention, homelessness, or deportation orders, often with limited access to community-based assistance.

Our approach is not limited to short-term legal advice. Instead, we focus on long-term legal protection and stability, working to ensure that every eligible client has a meaningful opportunity to pursue protection under Canadian and international law. This includes advocating for fair hearings, correcting procedural disadvantages, and helping clients understand their rights throughout the immigration process.

Our ultimate goal is to secure permanent status solutions wherever possible, enabling individuals to rebuild their lives in Canada with dignity, safety, and stability.

Our Strategy (2023–2025 and Beyond)

Canada’s immigration and refugee system has evolved significantly over the past decade, with increased caseloads, stricter procedural timelines, and growing demand for legal representation. In response, our strategy is designed to align with modern Canadian immigration practices while ensuring accessible legal support for underserved populations.

We focus on three core strategic pillars:

1. Early Legal Intervention and Case Stabilization

We prioritize early-stage involvement in refugee claims and post-refusal cases to prevent escalation into detention or removal proceedings. This includes rapid legal assessments, case restructuring, and identifying viable legal remedies under Canadian immigration law.

2. Multi-Level Legal Pathways

Our legal strategy incorporates all available Canadian remedies, including:

  • Refugee Protection Division (RPD) representation
  • Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) processes
  • Federal Court judicial review applications
  • Pre-removal risk assessments (PRRA)
  • Humanitarian and compassionate applications (H&C grounds)

This layered approach ensures that no legal option is overlooked and that clients receive comprehensive representation across all stages of the immigration system.

3. Community Integration and Legal Stability

We work with community organizations and support networks to ensure clients are not only legally represented but also socially supported. This includes connecting individuals to housing resources, employment guidance (where eligible), and legal awareness programs that strengthen long-term integration outcomes.

Our Policies

Complaint Resolution Policy

At RefugeeClaims.com, we are committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and high professional standards in all client interactions. We understand that immigration matters are highly sensitive, and we encourage clients to raise concerns at any stage of their legal journey.

If a client is dissatisfied with any aspect of service, we first encourage informal resolution through direct communication with the assigned legal advisor. Many concerns can be resolved quickly at this stage through clarification, case updates, or procedural review.

If informal resolution is not suitable or does not resolve the issue, clients may submit a formal complaint. Complaints can be made in writing or verbally to the Senior Director, who oversees compliance and service quality. All complaints are treated seriously and handled with confidentiality.

Complaint Handling Process (Canadian Standards Approach)

Once a complaint is received, we follow a structured process consistent with professional legal service standards in Canada:

  • Acknowledgement: The complaint is acknowledged within 2 business days of receipt.
  • Investigation: A detailed review is conducted, including consultation with the assigned legal representative and review of the client file.
  • Response Timeline: A formal written response is generally provided within 20 working days, unless additional time is required for complex matters.
  • Documentation: All complaints are securely recorded and tracked within internal compliance records to ensure transparency and accountability.

Investigation and Review Framework

The Senior Director leads an internal review process, which includes gathering statements from relevant staff, reviewing case documentation, and assessing procedural fairness. The objective is to ensure that all concerns are addressed based on facts, legal standards, and professional obligations under Canadian immigration practice.

Following the review, a written decision is issued outlining findings and any corrective measures, if required. Where necessary, internal improvements are implemented to prevent similar issues in future cases.

Resolution Commitment

Our goal is to resolve complaints efficiently while ensuring fairness and accuracy. In urgent matters, we aim to provide resolution as quickly as possible, particularly where a client’s immigration status, detention risk, or removal timeline may be affected.

We are committed to continuous improvement and maintaining trust through accountability, transparency, and adherence to Canadian legal service standards.
